The cryptographic use-case was developed in order to cope with a number of scenarios where it is important to protect the identity (and data) of what cmoputer scientists call the user.
We use the term Hitchhiker for this, and imagine Arthur Dent as out typical "user" who fortnuately for us happens to get involved in any number of extraordinary and highly improbable encounters (user-journeys).
As an example Blorvakia can stand for any country, run by an oppressive bureacracy, where freely and expressing your democratic preferencescan get you into a lot of trouble - if it is even allowed.
Using humour, satire, science fiction and software we are able to reach out and involve people in experiments that where taken literally, can put peoples lives at risk. In other contexts this is simply a case of protecting your data.
Blorvakia or whatever we call such structures allows us to explore these controversial issues openly and (semi) playfully.nThat after all was always the purpose of satire, where in the Hitchhikers project we can build on satire to well build things.
