Notes on H2G2 Style

Here are my thoughts on H2G2 Style. First the facts: 1. The current style is super retro. This is both good and bad. For an example see thepost

# Scifi Version I picture a transition for the current site as a sort of weird improbability drive animation to a modern or even futuristic web site. So teh elements on the page move from their old position to their new position - images glitch and reappear as their new incarnations and text animates from old fonts to new fonts in wierd and wonderful ways.

Essentailly i see a sort of time tunnel where we can move between different versions of H2G2.com - and right now that would be a big jump from 1999 to 2026 (27 years), while in the future we could add smaller time travel jumps.

# How? Modern CSS is very good at animating, transforming and transitioning one part of the web page to another. The original H2G2.com html-markup seems solid and standards based. I am proposing we take the existing html-structure and recreate it with a modern tool- so that the style looks unchanged, but that the new implementation allows us to use modern css transformations to build time tunnels.
