**Document Driven Development** (or Document Driven Design) is a methodology we are developing within the Hitchhiker Academy.
In the Age of AI and Collective Intelligence, we anticipate a new design process that integrates rich, human-centered design. This process is structured as a *living document* within a wiki and augmented through dialogue with Artificial Intelligence. The goal is to create Living Specifications.
Together with the development of formal languages—particularly Literate Languages — we expect more productive collaborations between human communities and the developer environment, creating systems that are both more responsive and more effective.
We imagine a deliberate **slowing down** of the design and specification phase, paired with a **speeding up** of agile iterations and feedback cycles.
